Spring Heritage Festival
Once again, the Santa Ynez High School Music Department has been honored with an amazing opportunity. This year the Music Department has been invited to participate in the Heritage Festival in either in Northern or Southern California. This will be a three day long event featuring an adjudicated performance and a trip to a local amusement park, like Great America in San Jose or Disneyland.
Total cost for this tour will be announced at the beginning of the school year. This will cover the hotel cost for three nights, transportation, festival fees, and admission to the amusement park. A payment plan will be established to spread the total cost over several months. Students will also have an opportunity to raise money to offset this cost through various fundraising events. Scholarships will be available on a limited basis for families with financial difficulties. We will be asking for a $50.00 dollar deposit for tour. Securing this deposit will give us more flexibility when scheduling our tour, including choice of hotel performance time and added events. Tour deposit will be due on September 9th.
Details about Spring Tour, including itinerary, lodging, room assignments, rules, and policies will be distributed as a mandatory parent meeting at the beginning of Spring semester. Please plan to attend with your parents. We will be needing chaperones for this trip. Please contact Mr. Clarno if you are interested at your earliest convenience. Other booster needs will be made known as our trip draws closer.
